Launching the Jubilee Bench

On Jubilee Sunday , 5 June, we held a 'Bring your own Bottle' gathering on the Common for the official opening of the Jubilee bench which the SBRA has funded and donated to the Common. Councillor John Todd of Hounslow Council cut the tape and thanked us for the bench, which the Council had installed and secured for us . It is on the east side of the Common , under the trees , and is a good place from which to enjoy the afternoon sun. We raised a glass to the Queen and remembered that a fete was held on Stamford Brook Common to celebrate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee - as well as a cricket match, painted by Pissarro.
