Our first Social and AGM for three years

After two years in which Covid prevented us meeting, we held our AGM and Social on 22 June. It was at the Hartswood Tennis Clubhouse, which the Club had kindly let us use again at no charge. About sixty residents came to take part and hear from our new Wendell Park Councillors and from PC Jenny Doe from our local Neighbourhood Police team. There was a lively question and answer session, with a lot of questions about local crime, cyclists , cycle ways and electric scooters. Our MP, Andy Slaughter, also attended after business in the House of Commons and stayed for the Social . At the AGM , we made several changes to our constitution, including expanding the Association's area to include houses round the Common and providing for a membership fee of only £1 for people over 80. Thanks to everyone who came. As there is no charge for the food and drink at Social it provides good value for the annual membership fee of £5 !
