Stamford BrookResidents' Association

SBRA AGM & Social Evening

The Stamford Brook Residents' Association AGM and Social evening took place on 16 June at the Scout Hut in Wilson's Walk (between Stamford Brook station and Prebend Gardens) .   As well as the Committee members, we were joined by our MP, some local councillors, representatives of the police and other residents' associations. There was an opportunity to ask questions and raise issues with the police and our representatives.

IMG 1204 (800x600)The discussion covered various issues of concern, including crime rates, increased traffic speed and volume, disruption caused by building works, the possibility of a third runway at Heathrow and the idea of an underpass through Hammersmith.  We were also pleased to be joined by Tom Ryland, the new Chair of the Hammersmith Society, who gave a short presentation on planning and architectural developments in the Borough,  awards that the Society had made for good buildings and some unwelcome and concerning trends as well.

A fuller report of the meeting will be made available to members of the Association through the website and newsletter and there are more photos in the Gallery section here.

About sixty people attended and stayed for a drink and something to eat afterwards. Our thanks to those who came and to those who organised the food and drinks.
